So while looking through some old files I found this movie meme thing. Thought I'd give it a shot. It's kind of old

As you can see most of the movies on that list, that I've seen are a little juvenille.

Movies To See This Summer:
1. Garden State - okay, I don't just want to see this because Dan Radcliffe likes it...
2. The Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants 2 - Looks hot.
3. Love Actually - because every Harry Potter fan sees this at least once...

25th-May-2008 01:32 pm - Books and Songs and Narnia

So I just read through that last post. I did finish Twilight, but I have to say I was NOT impressed with the ending. There's just something I find very disturbing about a girl falling in love with a vampire. I also can't say I like the dynamics of their relationship. It's all based on physical contact that they can't have. Please, don't get me wrong; if you like the books, then that's great because they're all the rage what with the new movie coming out and all...

On and more positive note, recently I just saw the new Narnia movie: Prince Caspian. It was really good! I don't say amazing because I still love the first one (Lion, Witch and the Wardrobe) better. I think it has to do with a number of things:
1. Prince Caspian didn't stick to the book. Argh! It annoys me when film producers do this! It's like they are belittling the author's work!
2. The movie was pretty fast paced and there were too many battles. I thought Narnia was a realtivly peaceful place:(
3. I think all in all, the plot of Caspian was alot simpler than the plot in Wardrobe.

All this aside I did really enjoy the movie. Narnia is just such a magical place full of beauty and wonder... I especially thought the last song at the end of Caspian really tied it together all nicely. It's The Call by Regina Spektor.
9th-Oct-2007 06:22 pm - You've GOT to read this book...
swing redhead
There's a crisp chill in the air as summer is starting to wear off and change into fall. Recently I was at a friend's house and she reccomened a book to me. Twilight by Stephanie Meyer. I'd heard of it for a while and was always kind of creeped out by the fact that this girl's lover was a vampire, but countless times people have been harping on me to read it!

So here I am, having only read in for three days and half way through, telling you to pick this novel up! I know I may be a little late in saying this since the hype has already started. But ever since Harry Potter ended, we've got to find a new series to preoccupy ourselves with! (Just kidding... nothing will every live up to the Harry Potter generation in my opinion.) Twilight is so interesting and at times a bit disturbing, but it's very compelling and I just want to know how its going to turn out in the end!

Please don't spoil the ending for me in your comments!

So, my new fettish now is creating HP soundtracks. Here's the first one and its a trio/ginny one. A lot of the songs I originally had were more applicable to Harry, so I'm in the process of making one for him too. Oh, and stay posted for more (like ships...)
Enjoy! )
